Jay Whittaker

Jay Whittaker- (aka @TokenJay on Twitter), has quickly become a talk of the town in Salt Lake City as one of the bright talents to watch. His stage presence, winning attitude, and crowd-pleasing charm make him perfect for any audience. Whether he’s rockin’ comedy clubs, fashion shows, or even a sold out crowd of 10,000+ at U92’s Summer Jam; there’s always laughter nearby.

Inspired to the stage by a lifelong dream, coupled with the encouragement of a close friend who would later pass away, Jay took to the stage for the first time in February 2011 and has not looked back since that night, a night ‘that would change his life forever.’

Since then, Jay took 2nd place in Wiseguys Comedy Club’s 2011 March Madness Competition and placed in the Top 10 at the 2011 Salt Lake Comedy Festival’s Rocky Mountain Laugh-Off. He’s hosted a number of charity events and is also a recurring guest on KBER 101’s radio hour “The Freak Show” with Mick & Allen. He’s also been heard on MIX 107.9, U92 & X96′s Radio From Hell. Already opening for comedy stars such as Hannibal Buress, Anthony Jeselnik, Mike Epps and the late, great Patrice O’Neal; This young man is a rising star to watch and a sure bet to make you laugh (he will buy you a round of drinks if you don’t!)

chrishChris Holifield- is the host and producer of the I am Salt Lake podcast. After helping organize a handful of the very first local instawalks in the summer of 2012 and spending countless hours wandering the streets of SLC trying to showcase the city through photography, he decided to take things up a notch by interviewing people from the Salt Lake City area. Almost 2 years into doing the podcast he has interviewed over 150 people from the local business, art, music, film, and anything else he finds intriguing. The podcast has struck a chord with the locals and has slowly risen to the top of one of the most listened to podcast along the Wasatch Front.
